K2PI HT MINI v3.2.7 Update

Just install it over the old version – your data and settings stay safe.

K2PI HT MINI v3.2.7 update summary

IMPORTANT – new server: Channels 1, 2 and 3 (TG 555, 200 and 999) now use a new server. Version 3.2.7 already contains the new settings, so updating is required to keep those three channels connected. Other channels are unchanged.

New: A Sturdier Connection
  • Faster reconnect – as soon as the internet is back (Wi-Fi to mobile data, leaving a dead spot), the app reconnects within seconds without pressing CONNECT.
  • Easier on the server – when a server restarts, devices no longer reconnect all at once, so everyone is back online more smoothly.
Fixes & Lighter
  • Stronger audio engine to prevent a rare crash when talking and listening at the same time.
  • Smaller logo, slightly smaller APK.

The new server address is set in the app automatically – you don't need to fill in anything. If channels 1–3 do not connect after updating, close the app and open it again.

K2PI HP v2.9.37 Update

Just install it over the old version – your data and settings stay safe.

IMPORTANT – new server: Channels 1, 2 and 3 (TG 555, 200 and 999) now use a new server. Version 2.9.37 already contains the new settings, so updating is required to keep those three channels connected. Channels 4 and up are unchanged.

The new server address is set in the app automatically – you don't need to fill in anything. Channel names, User Profile and your login stay as they were. If channels 1–3 do not connect after updating, close the app and open it again.

K2PI HP v2.9.37 update summary
New: The dmrid.online Portal Inside the App
  • PORTAL button on the main screen: one place for Messages, Letters, Announcements, TG 555 Ranking and the Digital Member Card. A small number on the button means something new to read.
  • WHO'S ONLINE – members connected to the channel (callsign, name, city) with a ● TX mark for whoever is talking. Refreshes every 10 seconds, with a search box.
  • QSO logbook sent to your dashboard at dmrid.online. Choose in Settings: Log two-way QSOs – AUTOMATIC, ASK or OFF.
  • One-tap eQSL with a choice of card designs (Settings › eQSL design).
  • Speaker photo and badge appear on screen when someone talks.
  • Radio Monitor on dmrid.online now shows users of this app as “K2PI HP PTT” with the version number.
K2PI HP screen example
Image: K2PI HP screen – speaker photo and the PORTAL button
New: Display
  • Landscape mode for tablets and TVs: the screen fills completely with no empty column. Choose in Settings › Screen orientation (portrait, landscape or automatic).
New: Cleaner Transmit (TX) Audio
  • Bass, Pitch, Hall and Echo voice effects for both DMRID Bridge and USRP channels, with ready-made presets.
Fixes
  • TX audio that occasionally dropped and came back: if the microphone stalls for a moment, the app now recovers it automatically. If any audio packets were still lost, a short notice appears after you release PTT so the cause is easy to trace.
Prospective Members (Guest Account PC00CA)
  • The guest account PC00CA may use the app for 5 days. After that, registration is required at dmrid.online/login/register.php. Registered members are not affected.

Note: Portal, WHO'S ONLINE, photos and the logbook need a member account (callsign, password and DMR ID filled in and saved in User Profile) and are not available to the guest account. The PORTAL button appears once the account is saved and the app is connected.

How to Use the Portal Features
  1. Open Settings, enter your callsign, password and DMR ID in User Profile, then press SAVE.
  2. Go back to the main screen and press CONNECT. The PORTAL button appears in the row under the caller-ID screen.
  3. Press PORTAL to open Messages, Letters, Announcements, TG 555 Ranking, WHO'S ONLINE and the DIGITAL MEMBER CARD.
  4. Logbook & eQSL: set Log two-way QSOs and eQSL design in Settings. To send an eQSL, log in at dmrid.online, open QSO Logbook, click the QSO date, then click eQSL.
  5. If the button shows grey as PORTAL ?, press it to see why (for example the data is not saved yet or the account is still a guest).

All Android devices: Phones, Tablets, Android TV & POC Radios – DMR-ID-DVS V.1.37 DOWNLOAD
App guide v1.37: what is new, switching channel / talkgroup, Map & video, portal, FAQ → DMRID DVS update Image: Example of the Android TV display

v1.37 Update

Just install over the old version – your User Profile, channels, per-channel callsigns and settings stay safe.

New: My Hotspot in Talkgroup Mode
  • Profil tab → Static TGs (My Hotspot): choose the account and the hotspot suffix 01–99 (e.g. YC5NCB · 510025801). Talkgroup Mode only – the active channel Profile does not change.
  • The hotspot picker shows each hotspot's TS1 and TS2 static TGs. Third-party apps (VoxDMR, QsoLink, etc.) must use the same settings as My Hotspot.
New: M2 Monitor (Dual Monitor)
  • Normal Mode: M1 = the channel/TG on the Channel card; M2 = a background channel/TG that is only listened to (volume 75%). While M1 is active, M2 audio is dropped; after M1 is quiet for 2 seconds M2 is heard and the M2 badge turns red. Tap the badge to choose, turn off, swap or clear.
  • Swiping left/right on the Channel card swaps M1 ↔ M2; swiping in the ON AIR area still opens the Map.
Fixes
  • M1 no longer crackles while M2 is active (the audio decoder is now one per connection).
  • M2 status reasons (e.g. callsign mismatch) only show in the dialog when the M2 badge is tapped, with no notification. M2 is not written to the logbook.

v1.36 Update

Just install over the old version.

New: Full-Screen Map
  • Settings → Profile → Map & Location → Open online members map is now full screen: a fixed-size zoomable map with a scrollable online list grouped by TG (member counts, + / − buttons), the device per callsign, a lit location icon (tap to fly to the point), and address & coordinates in the popup.
  • Normal Mode: swiping the Radio screen opens the Map.
New: Video Recording & Mini Text Size
  • Record button at the top-right of the video streaming screen (sending & receiving); stops automatically when PTT is released or the status goes idle. Picture only, saved to Movies/DMRID.
  • Mini Mode: Mini Settings → Mini Caller-ID Text Size, a 1x to 2x slider for callsign/TG, name and city in the ONLINE area.

v1.35 Update

Just install over the old version – your User Profile, channels, per-channel callsigns and settings stay safe.

New: Audio
  • 3-band TX EQ: Bass · Medium · Treble sliders (−10 to +10 dB, default 0) under Settings → Audio.
  • Gentler background-noise reduction: the maximum setting reduces noise without cutting speech.
New: Physical Channel Dial & Swipe on the Channel Card
  • Turn the left/right dial to change channel / TG in all new screen modes. Caraka 22 is tested; other models (Hytera P50 / P50 Pro etc.) are set up with Scan under Settings → Physical Channel Dial (not yet tested).
  • Normal Mode: swiping left/right now also works on the channel-name card (with the TG / CH buttons) – changes channel (CH mode) or Talkgroup (TG mode).
New: Theme & Video
  • Dark / Light / Follow System theme moved to Settings → Profile → Appearance (checkable). In the front-screen header the theme button is replaced by a 🎥 Video streaming icon.
  • Mini Mode: video streaming is enabled on devices with a camera and a large enough screen (detected automatically) via the OK menu → Video streaming. The Mini name & address are larger and shrink automatically when long.
Previous Versions

v1.34 Update

Just install over the old version – your User Profile, channels, per-channel callsigns and settings stay safe.

New: Video Streaming Icon in Caller-ID (All Modes)
  • When a member transmits on TG555 while sending video, the caller-ID shows a 🎥 VIDEO mark – you know right away that a video broadcast is on, even if your own Video streaming switch is off.
  • Normal Mode: a red badge on the ON AIR card – ● 🎥 VIDEO LIVE (Video streaming switch ON; tap to reopen a video you closed) or 🎥 VIDEO · tap (switch OFF; tap for instructions on turning it on). When you transmit with video yourself: ● 🎥 VIDEO SENT.
  • Wide Mode (tablet / Android TV): the 🎥 icon on the ON AIR and TX lines.
  • Mini Mode (POC radios): the new screen shows ON AIR · 🎥 VIDEO, the classic screen shows 🎥 after the callsign. Mini Mode still does not receive video (saves data).
Simpler Normal & Wide Mode Screens
  • The 🦜 Parrot button (voice test) moved to the header, next to the speaker button; it is highlighted while Parrot is active.
  • The Talkgroup · Online · Parrot · LOG button row was removed so the screen needs no scrolling: Talkgroup & Online are in the bottom menu, and the QSO Logger opens by tapping the Last Heard card.
  • The 2nd tab of the bottom menu follows the TG / CH buttons: TG mode = Talkgroup, CH mode = Channel List (globe icon) to pick a channel and manage accounts & per-channel callsigns.
  • Picking a TG from the Talkgroup list or swiping a Favourite TG keeps you in TG mode.
Other
  • The Online on this Channel list and the portal TG Status show app version 1.34.

v1.33 Update

Just install over the old version – your User Profile, channels and settings stay safe. Per-channel callsign placement is no longer reset when the app is updated.

New: Video Stream for Disaster Response & Team Coordination (TG555)
  • When transmitting on TG555, the device camera can send live video to other members – useful for reporting field conditions during a disaster or coordinating a team. Open to all v1.33 members (front camera) and only sent if you turn on the Video streaming switch; transparent (you always see your own camera).
  • The sender's coordinates also appear on the video screen and are more reliable (GPS is prepared as soon as the camera is activated).
New: Video Streaming Switch (Default OFF)
  • Under Profile → Video: Video streaming (send & receive). Default off – sends no camera and shows no one else's video (saves data & privacy). Turn it on yourself if you want to take part in video.
New: Location Sharing ALWAYS ON so You Can Be Found When You Need Help
  • Location sharing is now always on in every mode: your position appears on the Online Members Map (app & portal) – helping your team find you in an emergency. All members can see each other for coordination.
  • Allow location access when asked. To keep sending with the screen off, choose Allow all the time in the app's Location permission (phone Settings).
  • To turn it off: revoke the app's Location permission in phone Settings (there is no switch inside the app).
New: Swipe to Change Channel / TG (Normal Mode)
  • The TG & CH buttons side by side on the channel card choose the mode; swipe left/right on the ON AIR card to jump to the next or previous Favourite TG / channel.
  • The QSO Logger now opens by tapping the Last Heard card (or the LOG button).
Other
  • The channel list is refreshed only when the built-in channel set really changes – a normal version bump resets neither callsign placement nor the Mini Mode TX Audio Source.

v1.32 Update

Just install over the old version – your User Profile, channels and settings stay safe. Log in with your dmrid.online account as usual.

New: Online Members Map & Location Sharing (Normal Mode)
  • The Map menu shows members who are online on the map. Green dot = online, orange = transmitting, blinking; click a dot to see the callsign & name.
  • In v1.32 location sharing is optional (opt-in) under Profile → Map & Location; since v1.33 it is always on. Location uses the account currently on air and also appears on the dmrid.online dashboard – all members can see each other.
  • Only for the dmrid.online network (TG555), Normal Mode.
New: Camera Video While Transmitting on TG555 (Normal Mode)
  • The device camera turns on automatically only while you transmit on TG555, when enabled by the Super Admin (opt-in per member). Transparent – you always see your own camera.
New: Battery Percentage in Mini Mode
  • The Mini Mode screen shows the battery percentage – useful because the device status bar is hidden when the screen is maximised.
Other
  • The Profile screen now shows the account currently used by the radio (on air); the account picker for Talkgroup Mode is marked separately.

v1.31 Update

DMR-ID-DVS v1.31 Normal Mode (phone)
v1.31 – Normal Mode (phone)

Just install over the old version – your User Profile, channels and settings stay safe. Log in with your dmrid.online account as usual.

New: Talkgroup Mode (Beta)
  • A new Talkgroup tab: every TG in the DMRID network Talkgroup List (±8,900 TGs from 17 organisations) and the Global Amateur TGs can be picked directly, without needing a channel for it. Search by number, name or city; filter All · Favourites · DMRID · RAPI · Amateur.
  • ☆ Favourites are stored in your dmrid.online account – the same on phone, tablet and radio, and kept after a reinstall.
  • Static TGs TS1/TS2 can be changed from the app (Profile → Change static TGs), the same as the My Hotspot page on the portal – effective for hotspots and the app within ±1 minute.
  • The Listening Now box: static TGs and dynamic TGs (15 minutes) you are currently listening to. The SIDGAB TG is open to all groups; RAPI TGs only for JZ, amateur TGs only for YB–YH.
  • Talkgroup Mode is still a trial: opened gradually by the admin. If it is not yet open for your account, the app keeps working like v1.30 with channels.
New Look
  • Normal Mode: bottom menu Channel · Talkgroup · Online · Profile, a new main screen with a Channel card and an ON AIR card (photo, full name, city, talk time, audio level). Dark / Light / Follow system theme.
  • Caller-ID: the speaker's local time at top left, the flag at top right, and a red dot when the speaker is a LoTW user.
  • Mini Mode (POC radios): a new screen – TG/channel and status at the top, ON AIR with a large callsign in the middle. ▲▼ change channel / favourite TG, OK menu, ◀ favourites list, ▶ online, number keys = type a TG number.
  • Wide Mode (tablet / Android TV): Talkgroup list on the left, ON AIR and PTT on the right.
  • Prefer the old look? Choose Classic screen (v1.30) – Normal Mode under Profile → Display, Mini Mode at the top of the OK menu.
Other
  • Last Heard, Caller-ID and the QSO logbook record the TG the audio came from; automatic reconnect returns to the last TG.
  • The Online on this Channel list shows app version 1.31.
  • DMRID Gateways (callsign GW) may enter RAPI / KRAP channels, the same as the server rules. Amateur channels remain only for YB–YH.

v1.30 Update

Just install over the old version – your User Profile (callsign, password, DMR ID) and settings stay safe.

New Channel List
  • 36 built-in channels follow the new servers of the Indonesian DMR network. After the update the channel list in the app is replaced automatically – nothing to fill in.
  • Channel names are short and match the Talkgroup list on the dashboard: K2PI Nasional, RAPI NASIONAL, SIDGAB per province, RAPIDA per area, and the amateur channels YBLand Indonesia, Area-0 to Area-9, YB Semarang, Worldwide, JOTA, Freestar.
  • New channels: SIDGAB Aceh, SUMUT, SUMBAR, Jambi and Bali, RAPI DKI Jakarta, plus Area-0, Area-7, Area-8 and Area-9.
  • RAPI channels are only for JZ callsigns, amateur channels only for YB–YH callsigns.
  • Parrot (voice test) moved to the new server; Ragchew is no longer in the built-in list.
Other
  • The Online on this Channel list shows app version 1.30.

Note: channels you added yourself are also replaced during the update – add them again if you still need them.

v1.29 Update

New: Physical PTT Button without Keymapper
  • New-server adjustment: the original TG 555, 200 and 999 server migration to dmrid.org will come once all servers have recovered.
  • PTT with the screen off for POC phones whose firmware sends its own PTT signal (e.g. Caraka 22) – works at once without any setting: press PTT even with the screen off or the app in the background.
  • “DMRID PTT” (Accessibility) for other phones – the physical PTT button can still transmit while DMRID is in the background or another app is open. Keymapper is no longer needed. See the guide below.
  • PTT key code scan can now also read PTT buttons that previously only worked through Keymapper.
  • PTT is not triggered twice even if one press is read through two paths (safe for Toggle mode).

Note: with the screen off, PTT through “DMRID PTT” depends on the phone's firmware. Phones that send their own PTT signal (like the Caraka 22) can still transmit with the screen off.

Guide to Enabling the Physical PTT (DMRID PTT)

1. Install & Open the App

  1. Install DMR-ID-DVS V.1.29 (over the old version; data & settings stay).
  2. Open the app and make sure it is connected to a channel.
  3. Try first: turn the screen off and press PTT. If you can already transmit (e.g. Caraka 22), you are done – the steps below are not needed.

2. Enable “DMRID PTT” in Accessibility

  1. In the app open Setting → the Background PTT (no Keymapper) box → press OPEN ACCESSIBILITY SETTINGS.
  2. In the device settings open the app's settings, tap the three-dot menu and allow accessibility.
  3. Open the accessibility settings and choose DMRID PTT (usually under “Downloaded apps / Installed services”).
  4. Turn on Use DMRID PTT and tap Allow. Leave the DMRID PTT shortcut option off.

3. If “Restricted Setting” Appears

Android 13 and up blocks Accessibility for apps installed from an APK file. Unblock it just once:

  1. Tap OK on the “Restricted setting” message.
  2. Open Settings → Apps → DMRID-DVS (or long-press the DMRID icon → App info).
  3. Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots, top right) → Allow restricted settings, confirm with PIN/fingerprint.
  4. Repeat step 2 – now “Use DMRID PTT” can be turned on.
Via PC (if the three-dot menu is missing), with USB debugging on:
adb shell appops set com.dmrid.dvs ACCESS_RESTRICTED_SETTINGS allow

4. Record the PTT Button Code

  1. Back in the app → Setting → Physical PTT Key Code → press Scan.
  2. Press the phone's PTT button once – its code appears in the field (Caraka 22 example: 291).
  3. Press Save Settings. The Background PTT box shows ACTIVE (code …).

5. Important

  • If you used Keymapper / Button Mapper before, turn off the PTT button mapping there so it does not fire twice (and so Scan can read the button).
  • To stay reliable with the screen off: Setting → EXIT SAVE MODE (ignore battery optimisation).
  • “DMRID PTT” only reads the recorded PTT button – it does not read other buttons, screen content or other apps.
  • If PTT does not work with the screen off on your phone, send a logcat to the admin so that phone's PTT signal can be added.

v1.28 Update

New
  • Online on this Channel – a list button on the Radio screen shows who is connected to the channel: callsign, name, the app used, and a ● TX mark for whoever is talking. Full screen, scrollable, refreshed every 20 seconds while open.
  • Swipe the screen (Normal Mode) – swipe left to open “Online on this Channel”, swipe right or press Back to return to Radio. The connection and RX audio are not interrupted.
  • Wide Screen Mode for tablets (7 inch and up) and Android TV – Radio and Last Heard on the left, caller-ID and online list on the right. Automatic, or choose Setting › Screen Mode › Force Wide.
  • Android TV – the app appears on the TV home screen and works with a remote that has a mic.
Fixes
  • “Silently dropped connection” – the red notification and TX that cut off by themselves during standby or TX are fixed. The app now re-checks the connection before reconnecting.
  • Caller-ID no longer disappears after returning from Setting or Channel – whoever is talking shows at once.
  • Normal Mode – the channel name in the caller-ID box no longer shifts when there is a photo, and the callsign is always on one line.
Lighter & Faster
  • RAM use for the caller-ID database dropped from ±80–110 MB to ±5 MB.
  • Faster connection when the app opens. The first launch after the update needs a few seconds to prepare the database.
  • The old database files (10–22 MB) are deleted automatically – more free storage.

Note: the online list needs the account password in the User Profile (the same as member photos) and is not available to guest accounts.

v1.27 Update

  • A Show photo option for members in Setting, including “Download photos only over Wi-Fi” (Normal & Mini Mode).

v1.26 Update

  • The app identity is sent at login, so the dmrid.online portal can recognise members' devices/apps.

v1.25 Update

  • Added Talkgroups: KRAP Lokal Tegal, SIDGAB DKI, and ORARI JOTA Indonesia (TG 510907).

v1.24 Update

  • A 10-25 / QSO / chat logging feature (Logger) sent straight to the account dashboard on dmrid.online.
  • How to use: after the log is sent from the app to the server, the logger list appears on your dashboard on the dmrid.online portal. From there the log can be exported to CSV or ADIF, and eQSL can be sent directly.

DMRID_WINDOWS APP

November 1, 2026
WINDOWS – DMRID-Windows V.2.01 DOWNLOAD

v2.01 Update

Install over the old version (or through Online Update in the app) – accounts, settings, extra channels and the logbook are kept. ffmpeg is now built into the .exe file, so there is nothing extra to download.

New: TG555 Video Streaming (Send and Receive)
  • Send your camera while on PTT in TG555: pick the camera in Setting › Video Stream. Video is sent in the H.264 Baseline profile, so it plays in the DMR-ID-DVS Android app, the portal and other PCs.
  • Watch other members’ video when they transmit with video. As soon as the stream starts, the right column of the Radio screen shows 📹 callsign · memuat video… (loading video), then the picture.
  • Full size in the right column: during the stream the video covers the ON AIR card and Online on this Channel; when the video ends the screen returns to normal. Portrait phone video is shown upright. Double-click the video to hide it.
New: Video Stream On / Off Switch
  • The 📹 camera button on the Radio screen (next to MUTE) or the Video Stream aktif checkbox in Setting. Blue means on.
  • Off: no video is sent or received (saves data) and the Radio screen looks as usual. The choice is remembered after the app is closed.
Fixes
  • The video connection no longer drops by itself after a few seconds.
  • The Automatic encoder now uses the CPU (libx264) so the video plays in the APK; GPU encoders that cannot do Baseline switch to the CPU automatically.
  • Video from your own DMR ID is not shown twice. Use a different DMR ID on each device so you can see other members’ video.
Earlier Versions

v2.00 Update

DMRID Windows v2.00 Radio screen
v2.00 – Radio screen
DMRID Windows v2.00 Talkgroup screen
v2.00 – Talkgroup screen

  • Switch TG without reconnecting. ☆ Favourites and static TGs TS1/TS2 follow your dmrid.online account (the same as the Android app and My Hotspot).
  • The Didengar sekarang (Listening now) box (static & dynamic 15-minute TGs) and a Drop dynamic TG button.
  • Talkgroup Mode is opened step by step by the admins; without it the app keeps using channels as usual.
New Look
  • Side menu: Radio · Talkgroup · Channel · Online · Log · Gateway · Setting.
  • Two-column Radio screen: Channel/TG card and ON AIR card at the top, Last Heard and Online on this Channel below, large PTT underneath.
  • New caller-ID: the speaker's local time, flag, red dot for LoTW users, photo/initials, name & city, talk time and audio level.
  • Dark / Light / Follow Windows theme (Display menu). The classic Radio screen can still be chosen.
Logger & Gateway
  • Last Heard shows the TG; double-click still logs a QSO. The Log menu opens the QSO Logger beside the Radio screen (manual QSO, eQSL, CSV, ADIF).
  • The Gateway screen (Repeater Mode) follows the new look; it works the same.
  • Test PTT on the Gateway screen: hold the keyboard PTT key or the status box at the bottom – audio from the radio sound card (or the PC mic if no radio sound card is chosen), through the same repeater path as COS.

v1.18 Update

  • DMRID gateways (callsign GW) may join RAPI / KRAP channels, the same as the server rule. Amateur channels stay YB–YH only.

v1.17 Update

Install over the old version (or through Online Update in the app) – accounts, settings, extra channels and the logbook are kept.

New Channel List
  • 36 built-in channels following the new servers of the Indonesian DMR network, same as DMR-ID-DVS Android v1.30.
  • Short channel names matching the Talkgroup list on the dashboard: K2PI Nasional, RAPI NASIONAL, SIDGAB per province, RAPIDA per region, YBLand Indonesia, Area-0 to Area-9, YB Semarang, Worldwide, JOTA, Freestar.
  • New channels: SIDGAB Aceh, SUMUT, SUMBAR, Jambi and Bali, RAPI DKI Jakarta, plus Area-0, Area-7, Area-8 and Area-9.
  • The account chosen for each built-in channel moves with it to its new name.
  • RAPI channels are for JZ callsigns only, amateur channels for YB–YH callsigns only.
  • PARROT (voice test) moved to a new server; RAGCHEW is no longer in the built-in list.

v1.16 Update

  • New server adjustment – the TG 555, 200 and 999 channels moved to the new server.

v1.15 Update

  • Callsign selection – change the account used by the active channel straight from the Gateway screen, just like on the Radio screen. If connected, the app reconnects with the new account automatically.
  • User Profile (👤 icon) – add, edit or delete accounts without leaving the Gateway screen.
  • Parrot (🦜 icon) – one press switches to the PARROT channel to test your radio's audio, press again to return to the previous channel.
  • Gateway Equalizer – Bass, Mid and Treble for TX (audio from the radio to the network) and RX (network audio to the radio). Its settings are separate from the Radio screen equalizer, heard instantly while sliding, and can be reset with one button.
  • The speaker mute button is deliberately absent on the Gateway screen, so audio to the radio is never muted by accident.

v1.14 Update

  • Online on this Channel – the status screen (⋮ button) shows who is connected to the channel: callsign, name, the app in use, and a ● TX mark. Full screen, scrollable with the mouse wheel, arrows or PgUp/PgDn, refreshed every 20 seconds.
  • USRP channels still show the operators registered to the reflector.

v1.13a Update

  • dmrid.online member photos in caller-ID and Last Heard (Settings › Member photos).

v1.13 Update

  • The app identity is sent at login, so it is recognised by the dmrid.online portal.
  • The logger is managed right in the app (beside the Radio screen), including eQSL.

v1.12 Update

  • Guide (F1) and Automatic Update, with a notice when a newer version is available.

v1.11 Update

v1.10 Update

  • Logger for 10-25 / QSO / chat records with ADIF or CSV export, so it can be used as an NCS.

  • The account per channel and the last channel move with their new names. RAPI channels are for JZ callsigns only, amateur channels for YB–YH.
  • TV boxes already installed receive the update through automatic update (press Install); settings and accounts are kept.

A radio gateway app for Android 7+ TV boxes (ZTE B860H/B866F/B760H, Huawei EC6108V8/V9, HG680-P and similar with Android TV firmware). It works like the Gateway screen of DMRID-Gateway Windows and runs on its own 24 hours a day with its display on the HDMI screen. Separate from the DMR-ID-DVS app – both can be installed side by side.

Screen & Connection
  • The same DMRID Bridge channels as DMR-ID-DVS (v1.01: 36 channels + PARROT).
  • Callsign selection, Parrot, User Profile, caller-ID with member photos, Online on this Channel and Last Heard.
  • Fully operable with a TV remote: number keys 1–0 pick a channel directly, MENU opens Settings.
Repeater Mode

DMRID_GATEWAY LINUX APP (ARMBIAN / DEBIAN 12)

3 November 2026
LINUX arm64 / armhf (Armbian TV box, Debian 12) – DMRID-Gateway Linux V.1.03 DOWNLOAD

v1.03 Update

  • The last channel is always remembered: after a restart or a power cut, the gateway reconnects to the last channel – it no longer falls back to channel 1. PARROT is not counted; if it was switched OFF from the panel, it stays OFF on the same channel.
  • Settings are saved safely even when the power is pulled, with an automatic backup.
  • Lighter: much lower CPU use while idle and much lower RAM use; numpy/scipy are no longer needed.
  • The server connection and the caller-ID database handle faults better; the web panel is lighter to open from a phone.
  • Safer automatic update: if installing fails, the previous version is put back.
  • A fresh install now takes one command (pasang.sh). Gateways already installed update themselves through automatic update; settings and accounts are kept.
Earlier Versions

v1.02 Update

  • DMRID gateways (callsign GW) may join RAPI / KRAP channels, the same as the server rule. Amateur channels stay YB–YH only.
  • Gateways already installed update themselves through automatic update; settings and accounts are kept.

v1.01 Update

  • New built-in channel list: 36 channels + PARROT, same as DMR-ID-DVS Android v1.30 and DMRID Windows v1.17, names matching the dashboard Talkgroup list.
  • The account per channel and the last channel move with their new names. RAPI channels are for JZ callsigns only, amateur channels for YB–YH.
  • Gateways already installed update themselves through automatic update; settings and accounts are kept.

First Release v1.00

A radio gateway for TV boxes running Armbian / Debian 12 (Bookworm), arm64 or armhf. It runs as a headless service and everything is set from a web panel (http://IP-TVBOX:8080) on your phone or PC. It works like the Gateway screen of DMRID-Gateway Windows and DMRID-Gateway Android.

Web Panel & Connection
  • The same DMRID Bridge channels as DMR-ID-DVS (v1.01: 36 channels + PARROT).
  • Callsign selection, Parrot, User Profile, caller-ID, Online on this Channel and Last Heard.
  • Password-protected panel that adapts to phone screens.
Repeater Mode
  • Simplex or duplex, with a TX time limit.
  • RX trigger: USB-COM COS pin (CTS/DSR/CD), CM108/CM119 sound card, or VOX.
  • PTT to the radio: USB-COM RTS/DTR, CM108 GPIO, or radio VOX. Includes a PTT Test button.
  • ALSA audio, gain, noise reduction, 300–3000 Hz filter and the TX/RX Gateway Equalizer.
Runs 24/7
  • systemd service: starts by itself when the TV box powers on and reconnects if the server, internet or USB drops.
  • Automatic update from the DMRID server every 6 hours (with sha256 check).
  • Guide in the web panel (Guide tab): text and block diagrams.

Note: test version. Please report how it works on your TV box to the admin.

DMRID-Gateway Linux Installation Guide

1. What You Need

  • A TV box with Armbian / Debian 12 (Bookworm), arm64 (uname -m = aarch64) or armhf (armv7l). Check the version: cat /etc/os-release.
  • SSH access to the TV box (root or a sudo user) and stable internet – wired LAN is better.
  • A USB sound card + USB-COM interface (CH340/FTDI/CP210x/PL2303) for PTT & COS, or one CM108/CM119 sound card.
  • A dmrid.online account (callsign, DMR ID, password).

2. Install the Program (over SSH)

 cd /tmp && wget https://jatim-dmr.my.id/dmrid/dmrid_gtw_linux_v1.03.tar.gz
 cd /tmp && tar xzf dmrid_gtw_linux_v1.03.tar.gz && sudo bash dmrid-gateway/pasang.sh
  • pasang.sh installs the required packages (python3, python3-serial, alsa-utils, libopus0), creates the service user, the CM108 udev rule and the dmrid-gateway service.
  • Find the TV box IP with hostname -I, then open http://IP-TVBOX:8080 from a phone/PC on the same network and create the panel password.

3. Wiring to the Radio

 [ Radio ] <--audio, PTT, COS--> [ Armbian TV box + DMRID Gateway ] <--internet--> [ DMRID server ]
                                          ^
                                          | web panel http://IP-TVBOX:8080 (phone / PC)

Option A – USB sound card + USB-COM (recommended)

   RADIO TV BOX
 +---------------------+ +-----------------------------+
 | Speaker / RX audio |--- audio ---->| USB sound card IN (mic) |
 | Mic / TX audio |<-- audio -----| USB sound card OUT (phone)|
 | COS / squelch       |--- COS ------>| USB-COM          CTS        |
 | PTT |<-- PTT -------| USB-COM RTS |
 | GND |---------------| GND |
 +---------------------+ +-----------------------------+
PTT through a transistor / optocoupler, never straight to the radio pin

Option B – CM108 / CM119 sound card (1 USB cable)

   RADIO TV BOX
 +---------------------+ +-----------------------------+
 | Speaker / RX audio  |--- audio ---->| CM108  IN                   |
 | Mic / TX audio |<-- audio -----| CM108 OUT |
 | COS / squelch       |--- COS ------>| CM108  Volume Down button   |
 | PTT |<-- PTT -------| CM108 GPIO3 |
 +---------------------+ +-----------------------------+

Option C – no COS/PTT wires: RX trigger = VOX, PTT to the radio = No PTT (radio VOX).

4. First Setup (in the Web Panel)

  1. Gateway tab → User Profile: add an account, then pick it in the callsign row.
  2. Settings tab: set Repeater Mode, RX Trigger (the COS indicator must light when the radio squelch opens) and PTT to the radio. Press PTT Test – the radio must transmit.
  3. Radio audio: choose the USB sound card for Input and Output (“Automatic” = the first USB sound card), set the gain.
  4. Choose a channel. A green dot + “Connected” = the gateway is ready.
  5. Press Parrot, then talk from another radio to the gateway radio: your voice is played back.

After a power cycle – even when the power is pulled – the gateway starts by itself and connects to the last channel (PARROT is not counted). On first install it uses the guest account – replace it with your own account in User Profile. Open the web panel from the local network only; do not port-forward it to the internet.

5. Useful Commands

sudo systemctl status dmrid-gateway # service status
sudo systemctl restart dmrid-gateway # restart
 sudo journalctl -u dmrid-gateway -f # live log
 arecord -l / aplay -l # list sound cards
 ls -l /dev/serial/by-id/ # list USB-COM devices
sudo dmrid-gateway-passwd # forgot the panel password
sudo /opt/dmrid-gateway/uninstall.sh # remove the program (--purge = remove settings too)

6. Problems & Solutions

  • Web panel does not open: check sudo systemctl status dmrid-gateway and the TV box IP (hostname -I).
  • Login refused by the server: check callsign, DMR ID and password in User Profile. RAPI channels are for JZ callsigns only, amateur channels for YB–YH.
  • Radio does not transmit: press PTT Test, check the RTS/DTR choice and wiring. Status “Permission denied”: run the install command from step 2 again.
  • Radio audio does not arrive: watch the level meter – no movement means the wrong input sound card, a loose cable or too little gain (also check alsamixer -c 1 and raise Mic/Capture).
  • Distorted audio: lower the gain. Clipped audio: lower noise reduction, add VOX hang / PTT tail.

The full guide is also in the web panel (Guide tab).
